God’s favor is His unearned grace that brings protection, provision, and opportunity into your life. You just have to trust that God’s plans for you are intentional, even when seasons feel uncomfortable or unclear. Noah found favor with the Lord through his obedience. Noah followed God’s specific instructions in a corrupt world, even when it meant standing alone. David experienced God’s favor not by wearing Saul’s armor to face Goliath, but by being exactly who God called him to be. Favor does not mean the absence of giants—it means God’s presence and power with you in the fight. Favor often works behind the scenes. God may allow challenges, delays, or uneasiness to position you for something greater. When you remain faithful where you are, He opens doors that no one else can. Walk in obedience and trust God’s process. Be faithful with what He has placed in your hands, even when it feels small or difficult. Stay where He tells you to stay, move when He tells you to move, and believe that His favor will guide, protect, and elevate you in His perfect timing. Happy Black History Month! Suffering is not an accident of the Christian life—it is part of the calling of following Christ. Anchored in 1 Peter 4:1–2, you are challenged to adopt the same mindset Jesus had: since Christ suffered in the flesh, you are to arm yourself with that same way of thinking, no longer living for human desires but for the will of God. God uses suffering to sanctify you, weaken the grip of intentional sin, and deepen your faith. Through the emotional and physical suffering of Jesus—His betrayal, anguish, restraint, and ultimate sacrifice—you see the true cost of your salvation and the example you are called to follow. Jesus shows you how to suffer well: He prays, submits His will to the Father, and remains faithful even when the pain is overwhelming. “Not my will, but Yours be done.” Rather than escaping suffering through distractions or self-reliance, you are called to bring your pain, grief, and struggles fully before God. Fix your eyes on Jesus and choose to suffer well. In every trial, submit your emotions and circumstances to God, trust His will, and remain faithful. Because Christ suffered for you, live in a way that honors His sacrifice—walking in obedience, holiness, and unwavering faith. Faith grows through your relationship with God, not just through receiving answers to prayer. When Jesus says, “Ask, and it shall be given; seek, and you shall find; knock, and the door shall be opened,” He is inviting you into a deeper walk of trust and obedience. ASK — You are called to come to God with humility and dependence, acknowledging that you cannot do life on your own strength. Asking is not about demanding what you want — it is about surrendering your will and inviting God to work in your life. SEEK — You are challenged to pursue God beyond surface-level faith, to align your priorities with His Word, and to allow Him to reshape your desires, habits, and direction. Seeking means you actively chase God’s presence instead of convenience or comfort. KNOCK — You are encouraged to persevere in prayer and faith, even when life feels uncertain or prayers seem unanswered. Knocking reflects bold trust — choosing to keep believing, keep praying, and keep moving forward because you know God is faithful. Spiritual maturity is seen not only in how you pray, but in how you live, love others, and reflect Christ in your daily life. While the company of the prophets was meeting with him, he said to his servant, “Put on the large pot and cook some stew for these prophets.” One of them went out into the fields to gather herbs and found a wild vine and picked as many of its gourds as his garment could hold. When he returned, he cut them up into the pot of stew, though no one knew what they were. The stew was poured out for the men, but as they began to eat it, they cried out, “Man of God, there is death in the pot!” And they could not eat it. Elisha said, “Get some flour.” He put it into the pot and said, “Serve it to the people to eat.” And there was nothing harmful in the pot. Psalms 37:23 – 25 The LORD makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him; though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the LORD upholds him with his hand. I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread.
